Nubiyan Twist

Expect razor-sharp musical precision and irresistible energy when Nubiyan Twist take to the stage with their electrifying mix of jazz, afrobeat, soul, hip-hop and dance music – now with a brand-new line-up and live production for 2026.

Known for their powerful big-band sound and uplifting live performances, the nine-piece collective combine global grooves with British jazz finesse, rhythmic intensity and deep, infectious rhythms.

Following acclaimed collaborations with musical icons such as Nile Rogers, Tony Allen, Seun Kuti and Fatoumata Diawara, the band continue to push boundaries – and unite cultures, generations and genres through music that celebrates community, freedom and groove.

Formed in Leeds and now one of the UK's most respected live acts, Nubiyan Twist have been nominated for both MOBO and AIM Awards, completed sold-out tours and earned praise from NPR, Rolling Stone, Jazzwise and Bandcamp Daily.
