BACKSTREET GIRLS RETURN TO SWEDEN WITH A NEW ALBUM AND A NEW SINGER! After more than 40 years as the very symbol of Norwegian rock'n'roll, BACKSTREET GIRLS are ready for their first Swedish tour in four years, kicking it off at Monument on Friday 16 October!

Over the decades, the band have built a strong following among Swedish rock fans through countless club gigs and festival appearances, including Hultsfredsfestivalen and Sweden Rock Festival. When the band last visited Sweden to see whether there was still interest on the other side of the border, the answer was a resounding yes, with sold-out concerts in both Malmö and Stockholm.

Now Backstreet Girls return with a new album and a new singer. The album "Full Tilt Boogie!" introduces Roar Leren as the band's new frontman. Leren was close to both the late singer Bjørn Müller and the rest of the band, and many witnessed his powerful performance at the tribute concert at Tons of Rock. With his powerful voice, commanding stage presence and respect for the band's history, he has become a natural choice to carry on the legacy. "Full Tilt Boogie!" is described as the band's best album in 20 years.

Backstreet Girls are known for uncompromising rock'n'roll, high energy and concerts that never follow the formula of today's trendy music. This is the real deal, just as it has always been – or, to quote guitarist Petter Baarlii: "Put it this way: We play heavy!"
