SUMMARY:Backstreet Girls
LOCATION:Monument\, Stålverksgatan 6\, 41707 Göteborg
DESCRIPTION:BACKSTREET GIRLS RETURN TO SWEDEN WITH A NEW ALBUM AND A NEW
SINGER!\n\nAfter more than 40 years as the very symbol of Norwegian rock'
n'roll\, BACKSTREET GIRLS are ready for their first Swedish tour in four
years\, kicking it off at Monument on Friday 16 October!\n\nOver the deca
des\, the band have built a strong following among Swedish rock fans thro
ugh countless club gigs and festival appearances\, including Hultsfredsfe
stivalen and Sweden Rock Festival. When the band last visited Sweden to s
ee whether there was still interest on the other side of the border\, the
answer was a resounding yes\, with sold-out concerts in both Malmö and
Stockholm.\n\nNow Backstreet Girls return with a new album and a new sing
er. The album "Full Tilt Boogie!" introduces Roar Leren as the band's new
frontman. Leren was close to both the late singer Bjørn Müller and the
rest of the band\, and many witnessed his powerful performance at the tr
ibute concert at Tons of Rock. With his powerful voice\, commanding stage
presence and respect for the band's history\, he has become a natural ch
oice to carry on the legacy. "Full Tilt Boogie!" is described as the band
's best album in 20 years.\n\nBackstreet Girls are known for uncompromisi
ng rock'n'roll\, high energy and concerts that never follow the formula o
f today's trendy music. This is the real deal\, just as it has always bee
n – or\, to quote guitarist Petter Baarlii: "Put it this way: We play h
eavy!"\n\nSupport: Upploppet\n\nUpploppet are the firecracker from Gothen
