The Magnolia are back, playing in Stockholm and Gothenburg in November!

After more than a decade without new music, Gothenburg-based soul collective The Magnolia are back. Following acclaimed performances at Rosendal Garden Party and Way Out West, two concerts now await in November, in Stockholm and on home turf in Gothenburg.

The Magnolia have gained near-cult status on the Swedish soul scene, both as a starting point for Albin Lee Meldau and Arvid Nero and for their distinctive sound. With two powerful voices out front, the band have created a timeless blend of soul, weight and fragility, rooted as much in Gothenburg as in classic Memphis soul.

The band formed around 2010 and released their debut album in 2015, before falling silent. More than ten years later, the members found their way back to one another and, together with American songwriter and producer Old Sea Brigade (Benjamin George Cramer), The Magnolia have now recorded their second album, which will be released on 4 September.

Following their much-talked-about return to the live stage this summer, the next chapter now continues.
