Joel Lyssarides Trio

Together with his trio, Joel Lyssarides has crafted an instantly recognisable sound, drawing on influences such as Jan Johansson, Esbjörn Svensson's e.s.t and Keith Jarrett.

There is a rare lustre and an almost astonishing clarity to Lyssarides' playing.

With his distinctive tone, melodic depth and rare sense of space, Joel Lyssarides has established himself as one of Sweden's foremost jazz pianists.

Alongside Niklas Fernqvist on double bass and Rasmus Blixt on drums, he has developed an interplay in which every note feels considered yet spontaneous.

In 2019, Lyssarides received Sveriges Radio's Jazzkatten award for Musician of the Year.
