Hawk on Flight

Now Hawk on Flight return, energised and reimagined. With Björn Arkö on saxophone and electronic instruments, alongside leading musicians such as guitarist Staffan William-Olsson and pianist Marcos Ubeda, Hawk on Flight delve back into their extensive catalogue.

They bring new colours to their classic sound. Expect soaring solos, textured synths, tight rhythms and deep grooves.

Formed in 1976, Hawk on Flight helped define Swedish jazz fusion with their fluid grooves, bold improvisation and Matz Nilsson’s signature fretless bass.

Drawing comparisons to Weather Report and Electric Miles, the Gothenburg-based group quickly became a benchmark for the genre. Home-grown, but with an international reach.
