Freedom

Freedom are finally back at Hängmattan! Freedom are rooted in the American blue-collar rock of the 70s and 80s.

With their combination of street poetry, sparkling guitar melodies and big choruses, they create a soundtrack to summer nights, or a “bargain-bin Springsteen”, as Nicke Andersson so neatly sums them up.

Their self-titled debut has been called one of the strongest debuts in Swedish rock, and in 2024 the follow-up, “Stay Free!”, was released in collaboration with the legendary record label Sound Pollution.

Live, Freedom have an energy and intensity that few bands possess, and in 2022 they were even hand-picked by The Hellacopters to play at the official release party for “Eyes of Oblivion” at Hamburger Börs in Stockholm.
