Johan Airijoki

A long and faithful career in the service of rock is no guarantee of success. Many bands rehearse week after week, only to play to near-empty rooms.

But after years of dogged hard work, Johan Airijoki is finally on a winning streak.

And it is precisely this arduous but necessary journey that the former miner from Malmberget sings about on his latest album, “ROCKENS VINGAR”.

In “Den långa vägen hit”, he sums it up in these words: “The long road here / it’s always been lively / but now there’s an audience”.
