Småland + QUINQUIS

Oceanen presents: Småland Småland

Småland was formed in autumn 2017 and has released records on the American label Cloister Recordings and the Swedish label Coop Records Visby since its inception. The band’s third album, Oro och ältande, with cover art by visual artist Ragnar Persson, will be released in spring 2026 on Pomperipossa Records.

Småland consists of Dag Rosenqvist, Christian Hutchinson Berg and Thobias Eidevald. Dag Rosenqvist has released a large number of records since 2005 and has also created music for dance performances and film. Since 2010, he has collaborated with American musician Aaron Martin on the project From the Mouth of the Sun. Christian Hutchinson Berg is one half of the synth-pop duo Kite, known for their strong musical integrity and uncompromising live shows, most recently with Kite on ice, which sold out Avicii Arena in February 2025. Thobias Eidevald was previously a member of Agent Side Grinder and is also one half of the post-kraut project Domus.

Musically, Småland moves between folk synth, lo-fi ambient and instrumental pop, where acoustic instruments such as the pump organ and piano are blended with electronic sounds, grainy pads, noise and bubbling synth arpeggios. Småland are based in Stockholm and Öxabäck.

QUINQUIS

QUINQUIS is the first female electronic music producer to compose in Breton, pushing the boundaries of music in Celtic languages. Her sound is as deeply rooted in history as it is uncompromisingly forward-looking. Using Breton, the language of her ancestors, as her primary means of expression, QUINQUIS creates music that feels both timeless and entirely new—a delicate, dreamlike blend of tradition and avant-garde innovation.

Glittering electronic soundscapes and deeply personal melodies meet an artist unafraid to explore new musical territory, while remaining firmly connected to her roots.

Accessibility

Kulturhuset Oceanen is a Q-listed heritage building, which presents challenges when it comes to accessibility. We do our best to make it possible for as many people as possible to visit us. If you use mobility aids, the entrance via the stage entrance is the most suitable. This can be reached through Gathenhielmska trädgården. The entrance is locked, so please contact us one day before your visit, and by 16:00 on Friday at the latest if you are visiting us over the weekend. There is a wheelchair-accessible toilet in the stage venue. Personal assistants do not need to buy their own ticket, but please contact us in advance so that we can issue a ticket for them. We do not refund purchased tickets. This applies to all our events except Barnens Ocean. To cancel tickets for Barnens Ocean, email [email protected] If we cancel an event, all tickets will be automatically refunded, excluding the service fee, to the account used to purchase the ticket(s).
