Nefertiti, Göteborg
Maia Hirasawa
Maia Hirasawa releases the concept album “25 Days” on 29 January 2027, and in March Maia takes the music on the road for unique performances in Malmö, Stockholm and Gothenburg.
With “25 Days”, Maia Hirasawa explores how hormonal changes during the menstrual cycle can affect wellbeing, creativity and identity. The album consists of 11 songs, each representing a specific day, feeling and mood associated with the body’s hormonal changes.
Through the project, Maia makes the body’s natural rhythm part of the creative process itself. Instead of following traditional, often prescriptive ways of working, she has turned the perspective around and let the cycle set the framework for both the creative process and the story.
- Performing live is what I have always loved most of all. Making this album has truly been a journey, and it isn’t over yet. Now I’m going to try to find a new way to bring ‘25 Days’ to the stage. It’ll be so exciting to bring my new songs to life for the audience. I can’t wait!, says an excited Maia Hirasawa.
