Göteborg Baroque: Aftonsång - Simone Vesis mästerverk

It is easy to imagine that what we consider the Baroque repertoire has lain untouched for hundreds of years, but behind our concert programmes lies extensive research, led by musicologists working to uncover musical gems buried beneath history’s many layers of dust.

One such musicologist is the world-leading Kerala Snyder, who has worked tirelessly to compile the works of composer Simone Vesi. Early on, Snyder hand-picked Göteborg Baroque to interpret Vesi’s music, a collaboration that will now result in an album dedicated to the previously unknown Italian composer. Ahead of the recording, we have selected our absolute favourites from his repertoire. Come and hear a taste of our forthcoming album!
