Göteborg Baroque: Säsongsfinal – Händel & Roman
The bond between Göteborg Baroque and Georg Friedrich Händel is strong for many reasons, not least thanks to our unique claviorganum, built to Händel’s own design.
The connection between Händel and Johan Helmich Roman is also well known, as their paths famously crossed when Roman was a violinist in Händel’s orchestra at King’s Theatre in London.
Something special happens when Händel and Roman come together, and this encounter brings Göteborg Baroque’s season to a close in a concert featuring selections from the much-loved Drottningholmsmusiken, with our musical director Magnus Kjellson shining in one of Händel’s organ concertos.
The concert is presented with support from Sten A Olssons stiftelse, Västra Götalandsregionen, Göteborgs stad, Kulturrådet and Sensus.
