Halmstad Slott uppfördes av den danske konungen Christian IV under början av 1600-talet. Byggnaden har under åren används som ämbetsbostad och lustslott, men är i dag residens för landshövdingen.
Slottet är inte öppet för allmänheten men det är möjligt att besöka borggården.
