Cinnober, Göteborg
Ensemble Getögon
Goats’ eyes are one of nature’s curiosities, with horizontal pupils that give them an unusually wide field of vision. Ensemble Getögon’s line-up is unusual too, here comprising violin, clarinet, accordion, percussion and tuba.
And just like goats, the ensemble looks far and wide, beyond the beaten track, aiming to promote unconventional musical expression and create space for the next generation of composers and sound artists.
They commission new works for their unique instrumentation, but also perform their own arrangements of music from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. This concert presents several pieces centred around Marie Samuelsson’s Rondo i ringen – a work commissioned by Getögon that received its world premiere in a boxing gym in June 2026.
Anna Lindal – violin
Chris Moriarty – clarinets
Mara Peiseniece – accordion
Anton Alfvén – percussion
Anton Svanberg – tuba
