A Standup Xmas

A Standup Xmas 2026 The funniest Christmas present of the year is back – and this year you get more than twice as much. A whole evening with Sweden’s sharpest comedians, wrapped up and ready to be unwrapped on stage.

Forget the Christmas stress, leave the presents and skip the mulled wine. A Standup Xmas is a feast of laughter that warms you more than all the Christmas fires put together.

Thanos Fotas

He mixes dark observations with sharp social commentary and has quickly become a favourite on the country’s major stages. His Greek background and keen eye for everyday life give him an edge few others can match. Audiences get plenty of laughs, but also something to think about, as Thanos Fotas puts his own twist on matters big and small. His first stand-up special comes to SVT Play in 2026.

Elvira Gullberg

She is an unusual mix of comedian, musician and comic poet. Better known as “Gullis”, she has made a name for herself on the Swedish stand-up scene. You may also have seen her on programmes such as Talang and Svenska Nyheter, where she has charmed audiences with her witty songs. With Gullis on stage, you can expect musical precision mixed with improvisation, absurd flights of fancy and brilliant chaos.

Carl Stanley

One of Sweden’s biggest comedy stars. Despite being barely 30, Carl Stanley has already achieved more than many others manage in an entire career. Major tours, sold-out theatres (arenas!) and an ever-growing audience. One of the most polished joke writers in the business is finally making his debut at A Standup Xmas.

Henrik Nyblom

His first time at A Standup Xmas! One second it’s razor-sharp, the next it’s pure madness, and in between he manages to turn all logic upside down. With his tour Kluven, Henrik Nyblom has continued to push the boundaries of what stand-up can be, with no brakes and no interest in the expected. With his unique blend of observational comedy, reflections on life and absurd nonsense, he is as much a force of nature as an act of sabotage.

Messiah Hallberg

He has crashed straight into the fabric of Swedish society and lodged himself there like an irritating, exceptionally articulate thorn. On Svenska Nyheter, he has become a household name with precisely zero respect for power, waffle and poor arguments. And yes, he has won Stora journalistpriset along the way. He now dominates everything from SVT to LOL, but it is on stage that he is at his best.

Diyari Mahmoud

The leap from YouTube sketches to live stand-up may seem a big one, but Diyari has proved it is possible. After making a name for himself on social media, Diyari took the plunge and became a stand-up comedian. It would prove to be a brilliant choice. From Linköping and on several trips around Sweden, he has managed not one but two sold-out solo tours in three years. His latest show, “Jalla, väx upp”, was seen by over 15,000 people, and now he is finally back at A Standup Xmas!
