The Refreshments – Rock ‘n’ Roll X-mas

Celebrate Christmas with a real swing… There will be Christmas music from their own repertoire, as well as traditional Christmas songs with a rock ’n’ roll twist. Perhaps a little Chuck Berry or Elvis, rocked up a notch?

Tired of sentimental Christmas songs, jingling bells and sluggish tunes you’ve heard a hundred times before? The Refreshments now invite you to a proper Rock ‘n Roll X-mas, with Svenne Rubin and accordion king Anders Larsson. It will be a great mix, with rock ’n’ roll as the main theme.

Expect joyful, danceable Christmas euphoria.

It will be lively and full of energy. We promise a musical Jansson’s temptation of rocking Christmas songs, accordion music and perhaps a ballad – but only to add some dynamics.

This is the twenty-fourth time The Refreshments have set off on a rocking Christmas tour, and each time they bring along a couple of guest artists. This year they are joined by Svenne Rubin, frontman of the band with (almost) the same name, and talented accordionist Anders Larsson. They will be a great match.

No »Gläns över sjö och strand«, »Heliga natt« or any of the other tired old songs – instead, this will be a Christmas show that really stands out. It will be a musical experience out of the ordinary, and spirits are already high in the band.
