SUMMARY:Erik Söderlind & Lars Jansson Quartet
LOCATION:Nefertiti\, Hvitfeldtsplatsen 6\, 41120 Göteborg
DESCRIPTION:Why does rain fall is the title of the new album that Lars Ja
nsson and Erik Söderlind will present at their performance in Linköping
on 12 August.\n\nOver the years\, pianist Lars Jansson and guitarist Eri
k Söderlind have developed an intuitive rapport and a shared melodic lan
guage\, with various “musical moments” now culminating in thirteen or
iginal compositions that form a cohesive whole. The full spectrum is here
: from hard-swinging bebop to romance and melancholy.\n\nThose who have f
ollowed both Lars Jansson and Erik Söderlind over the years will also re
cognise that Lars Jansson has\, to some extent\, taken over the mentoring
role that the legendary Kjell Öhman previously held for Erik Söderlind
. Meanwhile\, in recent years\, Erik Söderlind himself has become both a
mentor and a role model for many young jazz musicians. This also seems t
o have brought a more mature and reflective tone to his already highly ac
claimed guitar playing.\n\nErik Söderlind & Lars Jansson Quartet feature
s Paul Svanberg on drums and Olli Rantala (replacing Niklas Fernqvist) on
  bass.\n\nBook your ticket today!\n\nTimes:\n\nDoors open 18:00\n\nConcer
