y\, David Eugene Edwards\, returns for another evening of manically chant
ed folk hymns and abyssal doom-laden country\, performed with frightening
intensity and conviction. With a dark\, powerfully captivating voice\, E
dwards whispers\, hisses\, spits and snarls his deeply spiritual convicti
ons like a possessed revivalist preacher. An intensely charismatic experi
ence that everyone must witness for themselves to understand.\n\nFormerly
the leader of the legendary 16 Horsepower\, David Eugene Edwards finds n
ew shades in the darkness on his forthcoming album ‘Mercurial Silence
’\, pushing his acoustic sound with electronic elements that lend an in
sistent drama to the evocative melodies. A Southern version of Nick Cave
and one of the few artists today with the gravitas and charisma to merit
being mentioned alongside the godfather of country\, Johnny Cash. A speci
al occasion in the November darkness...
