Svante Söderqvist – The Rocket

THE ROCKET brings two musical worlds together seamlessly: the Swedish Svante Söderqvist Trio, featuring pianist Adam Forkelid and drummer Calle Rasmusson, alongside Swedish-Estonian accordionist and sound explorer Tuulikki Bartosik.

Following the success of their debut album Arrival (2020), the trio wanted to explore new soundscapes, which naturally led to the collaboration with Bartosik. With a shared love of Swedish folk music and a keen curiosity about new forms of expression, the collaboration was both a natural fit and organic.

As the project's natural musical leader, Svante Söderqvist contributes his classically influenced jazz, giving both double bass and cello room to shine, sometimes also enhanced by wordless vocals. His melodic and soulful compositions set the tone for the group's journey.

Tuulikki Bartosik adds a distinctive layer of sound through her expressive accordion playing, with subtle electronic effects blending in to become a natural fifth voice in the acoustic setting.

On the collaboration, Tuulikki says:

“When I first heard Svante's trio live, I was struck by their incredible musicianship, tight interplay and, above all, the warm sound that went straight to the heart. It reminded me of my own musical journey – always curious, always moving forward.”

Together, the four musicians create a dynamic and open soundscape where acoustic meets electronic, old meets new and the familiar slips into the unknown. The result is a vibrant musical journey that constantly changes in the moment.

If you are on your own or in a smaller party, you may be seated at a table with others.

Information about pre-ordering food:

If you book seated tickets, we offer the option to pre-book our lovely concert menu. You will find our three options (meat, fish and vegetarian) in step 2 after selecting the number of seated tickets.

Pre-booked dinners take priority. Food ordered at the venue may therefore involve a slightly longer wait.

At the venue, we serve our fixed menu of smaller dishes.
