Hiphop Revolution Festival, Göteborg
Hiphop Revolution Festival 2026
Hiphop Revolution Festival 2026 is a dance festival now in its seventeenth year, offering something for everyone.
You can watch a dance competition or take part yourself, go to a daytime club, take plenty of dance workshops, watch various dance performances or enjoy panel discussions. All activities during the festival are drug-free, with sound levels adjusted for families with children, and can be enjoyed as a participant or spectator, whether you are young or old. The festival is created by dancers for dancers, and for anyone who wants to experience dance, music, culture and entertainment. Open to all ages, including groups and families.
– Since 2009, the festival has been a meeting place where dance and culture bring people together. We are proud to welcome you back for another year filled with community, inspiration and the joy of dance –
We begin the festival programme on Friday 13 November and Sunday 15 November with the official performing arts day. Here, the festival offers the chance to see two dance performances: "Det [o]kända" with Eddie Yalman alongside guest dancers/composers, and "Det [o]kända" with Julian "Joujou" Namroud alongside guest dancers/composers.
Then, on Sunday 15 November, we return to House of Possibilitas for the annual free public panel discussion "Revolution talks", with our moderator and invited guests from the dance performance Det [o]kända.
For Friday's programme on 20 November, we head to Twisted Feet DA, where we will offer three 90-minute intermediate-level dance workshops in hip hop, popping and house dance, and five 60-minute beginner/open-level dance workshops in hip hop, popping, house dance, breaking and locking with this year's judges.
For Saturday's programme on 21 November, we take over Surr Arena for qualifiers with a club atmosphere, called cypher tryouts, in the solo categories hip hop, popping, house dance, breaking, junior allstyle for ages 16 and under, and adult allstyle for ages 17+. Each cypher tryout lasts 75 minutes. You can join the club as either a spectator or a participant, with wristbands showing who is competing and who is clubbing. The club is drug-free and family-friendly, with sound levels adjusted for children, so anyone can take part. Limited seating.
For Sunday's programme on 22 November, we invite you to the finals day at Trädgår'n. Sunday features the top 8 in the solo categories and the allstyle categories. From the top 4 onwards, we will merge the two allstyle solo categories to create the 2-on-2 "Battle 4 Generations". This will include a junior allstyle team and an adult allstyle team. As well as the dance competition, we will have a live act, cyphers, jams, judges' showcases and much more.
The event will also offer limited-edition sustainable clothing from Dedicated Brand and more entertainment, including performances, showcases, an open dance floor, an afterparty and plenty of other fun throughout the dance event.
