Låt hjärtat va mé

Jazz, humour and warmth – entirely in the spirit of Sonya Hedenbratt! Göteborg Jazz Orchestra (GJO) joins forces with Viktoria Tolstoy for a show inspired by Sonya, the city's great jazz voice and queen of revue.

Classic musical gems such as ”Låt hjärtat va mé” and ”Ål av mig” (All of me), in big-band arrangements with swing, sincerity and feeling of the highest order, are interspersed with humour and warmth. GJO and Tolstoy have found common ground in their joy of performing and love of music, making a tribute to Sonya a natural choice. The evening's compère is entertainer Isidor Olsbjörk.

Viktoria Tolstoy, an outstanding voice and artist, is one of our biggest names in jazz, both in Sweden and internationally. She is described as "a completely natural talent, someone who simply understands everything in an instant." and "...besides, she is someone to spend time and have fun with, both on and off stage, which is a very important aspect of getting along with an artist. Her laugh is famous, as is her humour."

Göteborg Jazz Orchestra is one of the most exciting forces in Swedish jazz right now. The big band has enjoyed a meteoric rise, quickly establishing itself at the highest level. Driven by their love of music and jazz, they eagerly seek new forms of expression, attract collaborations with the best artists nationally and internationally, and enjoy exploring different genres and new formats.

Isidor Olsbjörk, a magician and comedian from Gothenburg, will guide you through the evening. He is a versatile entertainer who has performed on stages throughout Sweden. With a stage presence that combines humour, magic and spontaneous audience interaction, Isidor has established himself as one of Gothenburg's most versatile stage personalities.
