Christoffer Nyqvist – Lejonet från Norden

With his unique ability to balance the absurd with the relatable, Christoffer Nyqvist has become one of Sweden’s best-loved young comedians. Now he is back with a new stand-up show, “Lejonet från Norden”.

Despite the title, it is not about Gustav II Adolf, but instead a silly, 75-minute show about what Christoffer has been thinking about since last time.

– I want to play around with the one-man show format this time, and the idea is actually to make it a bit more of a show, which you might not immediately associate with me. But it’s something I’ve wanted to try for a long time, and I need to seize the opportunity now that we’ve booked stages bigger than a pallet, says Christoffer.

Christoffer started doing stand-up when he was 17, which was ten years ago now. “Lejonet från Norden” will be his second solo tour.

– I enjoy writing stand-up, coming up with jokes. As usual, I draw on my own life, and failing that, the news. So I need to start reading the newspaper again and/or experience terrible things that I can make funny, he notes.

The performance lasts approximately 75 minutes without an interval.

No age restriction, but the show is recommended for ages 15 and over.
