Tomas von Brömssen. What more is there to say? This 82-year-old never tires of meeting his audience, and here he pulls out all the stops for a truly festive evening! A full evening of music and laughter, interspersed with reflections on a life of constant change.

Joining him on stage is his new partner in performance, singer Evelyn Jons. Or wait… is she his daughter…? Why have we never met her before…? And is he really going to sing musical theatre…?!? Men Pappa!

"Men, pappa!" premiered in Trollhättan in spring 2024 and then toured western Sweden, selling out venues including Göteborgs Konserthus. A tour of Sweden followed in spring 2025, which was not originally meant to include Gothenburg, as Tomas and Evelyn felt they had already performed here. Following a request, however, it ended up including two sold-out performances at Råda Rum in Mölnlycke, where the cheering seemed never to end.

Now they’re back! Once a pair of Gothenburgers, always a pair of Gothenburgers! And could anything be more Gothenburg than Tomas von Brömssen at Lisebergsteatern!

Tomas von Brömssen is one of our best-loved actors. Calling him a national favourite hardly does him justice. His big breakthrough came in 1976 as Herbert, the scrap dealer’s son in the TV series Albert&Herbert, and he has remained in the public eye ever since. He has worked in theatre, revue, film and television. In 1995 he won a Guldbagge Award and was named Gothenburger of the Year. Tomas plays the clarinet, and his love of music has been a constant thread throughout his acting career.

Evelyn Jons is a versatile performer from Gothenburg who works throughout Scandinavia. She started out in musical theatre. Today she sings with large orchestras in concert halls, performs shows she has created herself, gigs with her own musicians and creates her own music. She is also known for her colourful and entertaining between-song patter, “a bit of good old banter”, as someone put it.
