DESCRIPTION:NYNNINGEN at Hängmattan\n\nOn Friday 15 January\, Nynningen
will be appearing at Hängmattan/Musikens Hus in\n\nGothenburg. It will b
e a special and intimate evening as one of Swedish prog’s most influent
ial bands meets its audience in an unusual format – without bass and dr
ums\, but with Nynningen’s powerful songs\, lyrics and musical intensit
y at the centre.\n\nSince forming in 1971\, Nynningen has made a clear ma
rk on Swedish music history. Over the years\, the band has moved freely b
etween rock\, jazz\, improvisation and folk music\, always with Swedish-l
anguage lyrics as its natural core.\n\nTomas Forssell helped form the gro
up in 1971. Bernt Andersson\, a member from 1972 until 1980\, is back in
the band. Bernt Andersson is one of the country’s highly regarded music
ians and has\, among other things\, played with Mikael Wiehe and Björn A
fzelius. Thomas Jäderlund\, who joined in 2016\, is considered one of th
e established names in Swedish jazz\, and Anastasia Grivogiannis became a
member in 2024 and is well known in Gothenburg’s music scene\, particu
larly for her interpretations of Alf Robertsson’s songs.
