SUMMARY:Ola Aurell – Mänsklighetens lyckligaste tid
LOCATION:Draken Live\, Heurlins Plats 15\, 41301 Göteborg
DESCRIPTION:Mänisklighetens lyckligaste tid\n\nOla Aurell tries to answe
r the eternal questions: where do we really come from\, where on earth ar
e we heading – and might things possibly have been even worse in the pa
st? This is a comedy concert delving into both anxiety about the future a
nd nostalgia.\n\nAfter the success of Herr Aurells nästan lämpliga sån
ger\, which played to packed houses across the country\, Ola Aurell is ba
ck with a brand-new musical comedy show. New songs\, new jokes and new ma
dness.\n\nHe asks us whether things were better in the past. Is dystopia
just around the corner? Were older generations permanently tipsy? Who too
k the last slice of tiger cake? Will artificial intelligence take our job
s? Was the telephone directory the high point of our civilisation?\n\nThe
Vasa ship’s short maiden voyage\, the mullet and an existential fear o
f old age sit alongside the comforting certainty that the hip flask will
at least survive the collapse of civilisation.\n\nAs always\, Ola Aurell
’s exquisite lyrical craftsmanship is interspersed with tastelessness\,
cheerful jibes and hidden nerdy obsessions. History\, the present day an
d anxiety about the future all get their well-deserved knocks.\n\nTo rais
e the bar right up to the ceiling\, he is bringing the rising stars Sand
& Hallander along on the tour. Their retro-sounding backing vocals featur
e prominently on Ola Aurell’s new album\, due out this winter\, so havi
ng them as his backing band felt like an absolute necessity.\n\nAge: Reco
 mmended for ages…
