SUMMARY:ViVii
LOCATION:Kulturhuset Oceanen\, Stigbergstorget 8\, 414 63 Göteborg
DESCRIPTION:Oceanen presents: ViVii\n\nViVii have long been one of Sweden
’s best-kept musical secrets. A band who have operated just outside the
brightest spotlight\, yet built a much larger audience over several year
s\, far beyond Sweden’s borders. With millions of streams around the wo
rld\, acclaim from the international music press and support slots for th
e likes of Alt-J\, Caroline Jonsson\, Emil Jonsson and Anders Eckeborn ha
ve created a distinctive sound that has resonated both in Sweden and far
beyond its borders. Now it’s time for ViVii to return to Swedish and No
rwegian stages on an upcoming spring tour\, coinciding with the release o
f their third album.\n\nViVii made their debut in 2018 and quickly gained
a foothold on the international scene. Influential outlets such as BBC6\
, Line of Best Fit and Wonderland showered the band with praise\, while t
ours with the likes of Alt-J further increased interest. Their debut albu
m soon passed 25 million streams – as good a testament as any to the ba
nd’s impact beyond Sweden. ViVii’s dreamlike pop has been mentioned i
n the same breath as that of Lana Del Rey\, Sufjan Stevens and Beach Hous
e\, while the music is just as firmly rooted in a down-to-earth Swedish c
ontext.\n\nViVii’s forthcoming third album\, “I thought I would be so
mewhere else by now”\, will be released via Dumont Dumont on 29 January
2027. The new album contains every emotional state at once. The enthusia
sm of making music again meets the inspiration that comes from doing so i
 n a new way. Th…
