SUMMARY:Newkid – Akust-ish
LOCATION:Big Stage Jacyz\, Drakegatan 10\, 41250 Göteborg
DESCRIPTION:After years on big stages\, with pyrotechnics and productions
designed to feel larger than life itself\, Newkid is now doing something
new: he is coming closer.\n\nOn Sunday 14 February\, he takes to the Big
Stage at Jacy'z.\n\n– “The setup isn’t entirely acoustic\, but ish
\,” says Newkid of the format.\n\nAnd perhaps that is where the essence
lies. A stripped-back stage style without losing the energy or grandeur
of the music – a space where the songs can breathe in a new way\, and w
here the audience comes closer to both the music and the person behind it
.\n\nWith more than 15 years of music behind him\, Newkid is now inviting
audiences to a more personal encounter. From early hip-hop and R&B influ
ences to the big pop songs that have been streamed more than half a billi
on times\, the music takes on a new form: intimate\, vulnerable and hones
t.\n\nHe is also currently promoting the EP Powerballader\, released earl
ier this spring\, where he continues to explore powerful emotions\, stron
g melodies and stories about love\, doubt and finding your way home.\n\nO
