Synopsis

Häxan Hillary hears a word she has never heard before: “opera”. She looks it up. It seems to be something where people sing all the time. Hillary conjures up the singer Maria Bellacanta, who takes us and the witch herself on a journey into the magical world of opera. Pieces from Trollflöjten, Läderlappen, Hans och Greta and other well-known operas and operettas performed at GöteborgsOperan since its opening are woven into the story. Hillary asks lots of questions, which Maria is happy to answer – sometimes with the help of the mouse Mus-iker.
