SUMMARY:The Orb
LOCATION:Pustervik\, Järntorgsgatan 12-14\, 41301 Göteborg
DESCRIPTION:KB West presents:\n\nTHE ORB\n\nAge restriction: 18+\n\nStrap
your brain in and let the rest go. When The Orb take over Pustervik in G
 othenburg\, they bring a universe of dub\, acid house\, floating ambient\
, bizarre samples and a heavy bassline that rearranges your internal orga
ns. In spring 2027\, they will take Swedish audiences on a trip beyond Ul
traworld!\n\nIt starts with a rumble in the floor. A voice from an old fi
lm drifts past. A synth flickers a few light years away. The bass swells\
, the beat starts moving and suddenly the entire room has left Earth's or
bit.\n\nWelcome to The Orb. On stage\, it all becomes one big psychedelic
melting pot. "Little Fluffy Clouds"\, "The Blue Room" and the other clas
sics rub shoulders with more recent excursions as Paterson and Michael Re
ndall twist\, mix\, build and launch the soundscape straight into the cos
 mos.\n\nOne second\, you're floating weightlessly. The next\, you're in t
he middle of a massive groove\, wondering when the floor started swaying.
 \n\nTheir 2023 album Prism thundered through ambient\, house\, dub\, regg
ae and drum’n’bass. Since then\, they have returned to their collabor
ation with Pink Floyd's David Gilmour\, brought together their career on
Orboretum and released yet another new album\, Buddhist Hipsters\, in 202
5.\n\nSo yes\, there's history here. Plenty of it! But in front of the st
age\, it's much simpler: powerful bass\, big sounds\, strange flights of
fancy and an excellent evening for losing touch with planet Earth for a w
 hile.
