Fyrens Ölkafé, Göteborg
BAST + Comfort Module
Two of the country's most interesting synth acts right now are joining forces and inviting you to an evening at Fyrens Ölkafé on 31 October!
BAST, featuring John Lönnmyr and Daniel J, have been playing to full houses since their debut last year with the EP Together in violence, and most recently performed at the Synthsläggan awards ceremony in Gothenburg. At the same ceremony, the duo Comfort Module received the award for Debut Album of the Year. The duo, consisting of Pär Steen and Henrik Fexeus, are now back with their second record, The Close. These two bands now welcome us to an evening dedicated to electronic music!
In 2025, the duo Comfort Module burst onto the Swedish alternative music scene. With subsequent remixes by artists such as Agent Side Grinder, Rivet and Motormännen, their music has found unexpected routes to recognition. Now the duo are once again ready to show that Comfort Module are a band to keep an eye on.
Comfort Module's second album, The Close, is released at the end of October and takes us on an even deeper and more explosive journey as Pär Steen and Henrik Fexeus explore their studio's full potential. Industrial EBM meets alternative rock, hard beats meet delicate electronic ballads. Somewhere on the boundary between manic brutality and stripped-back vulnerability, we find Comfort Module's new musical edge.
Comfort Module have been called “Sweden's worst-kept secret”. Have you discovered them yet? If not, here is a rare chance to see one of Sweden's very finest synth duos!
BAST are a bright new star in the Swedish electronica firmament. The duo combine impressive experience with an uncompromising vision. John, who is also a member of The Night Flight Orchestra, has toured the world, while Daniel has both performed as a solo artist and worked professionally in the music industry for many years. BAST gives them both the space to realise their shared dreams of a band that operates entirely on its own terms and remains uncompromising in its vision. Amid dystopian, often ominous soundscapes, strong melodies still take centre stage.
In spring 2025, they released their debut album, the EP Together in violence, to unanimous acclaim from the electronic music press, and the tracks immediately found their way onto playlists!
You can expect an emotionally charged experience, with bass you can feel in your bones, melodies that cut like knives and lyrics that are ominous in all their hopefulness! At Fyrens Ölkafé, the band promise to perform new songs as well as older material, with surprises thrown into the mix. One of the most exciting bands on the synth scene right now!
