Ronja Rövardotter

Ronja Rövardotter – An exciting theatre adventure for the whole family at Lorensbergsteatern! At last, one of Astrid Lindgren’s best-loved stories makes its debut on the Lorensbergsteatern stage!

Join us for an unforgettable theatre adventure filled with song, music and excitement – a magical and spectacular experience for the whole family.

On the night Ronja is born, thunder rolls over the mountains.

A storm sends all the strange creatures in Mattisskogen scurrying into their dens.

Only the wild harpies rejoice, flying and shrieking around the robbers’ castle.

At that moment, lightning strikes and splits the castle in two.

The rival robber chief Borka moves into one half with his band of robbers – the feud is now a reality.

As Ronja grows up, she ventures into the forest, full of mysterious creatures: grey dwarves, wild harpies and rumphobs.

Birk, the son of the enemy chief, is there too.

They meet on the castle roof, with the ravine Helvetesgapet between them.

A daring leap marks the beginning of a secret friendship.

Together, Ronja and Birk defy dangers, the adult world and their families’ enmity.

An adventure about courage, friendship and finding your own path.

Welcome to the big family show of the Christmas season at Lorensbergsteatern!

Opens on 19 December.

Ronja Rövardotter is based on Astrid Lindgren’s book of the same name.
