SUMMARY:Göteborg Baroque: Aftonsång - Simone Vesis mästerverk
LOCATION:Tyska kyrkan | Deutsche Christinenkirche\, Norra Hamngatan 16\,
 411 14 Göteborg
DESCRIPTION:It is easy to imagine that what we consider the Baroque reper
toire has lain untouched for hundreds of years\, but behind our concert p
rogrammes lies extensive research\, led by musicologists working to unear
th musical gems buried beneath history’s many layers of dust. One such
musicologist is the world-leading Kerala Snyder\, who has worked tireless
ly to compile the works of composer Simone Vesi. Early on\, Snyder handpi
cked Göteborg Baroque to interpret Vesi’s music\, a collaboration that
will now result in an album dedicated to the hitherto unknown Italian co
mposer. In preparation for the recording\, we have selected our absolute
favourites from his repertoire. Come and hear a preview of our forthcomin
g album!\n\nThe concert is presented with support from Sten A Olssons sti
 ftelse\, Västra Götalandsregionen\, Göteborgs stad\, Kulturrådet and
 Sensus.
