SUMMARY:Göteborg Baroque: Säsongsfinal – Händel & Roman
LOCATION:Tyska kyrkan | Deutsche Christinenkirche\, Norra Hamngatan 16\,
 411 14 Göteborg
DESCRIPTION:The bond between Göteborg Baroque and Georg Friedrich Hände
l is strong for many reasons\, not least thanks to our unique claviorganu
m\, built to Händel’s own design. The bond between Händel and Johan H
elmich Roman is also well known\, as their paths famously crossed when Ro
man was a violinist in Händel’s orchestra at King’s Theatre in Londo
n.\n\nSomething special happens when Händel and Roman come together\, an
d this encounter brings the season with Göteborg Baroque to a close in a
concert featuring selections from the much-loved Drottningholmsmusiken\,
with our musical director Magnus Kjellson taking the spotlight in one of
Händel’s organ concertos.\n\nThe concert is presented with support fr
om Sten A Olssons stiftelse\, Västra Götalandsregionen\, Göteborgs sta
 d\, Kulturrådet and Sensus.
