zz Jazz is fun! is the motto as GJO nurtures the big band tradition while
also taking it forward. The music moves freely between hard-swinging tun
es\, lyrical ballads and rhythmic surprises. You’ll hear today’s big
band sound\, created by people who live and breathe jazz every day. Come
and hear fresh\, vibrant big band jazz in the here and now that you won
’t experience anywhere else... and feel that electric connection betwee
n musicians and audience. Competitions and more in the foyer! Have a bite
to eat while you’re out – try Park Lane’s bar menu... and drinks o
f all kinds too.\n\nGÖTEBORG JAZZ ORCHESTRA One of the most exciting mov
ements in Swedish jazz. The big band has enjoyed a meteoric rise and quic
kly established itself at the highest level. In their love of music\, the
y are always looking for new forms of expression and attract collaboratio
ns with the best musicians – both Swedish and international. They often
cross genre boundaries with new formats. On the first Monday of every mo
nth\, Göteborg Jazz Orchestra performs under the motto "Jazz is fun!" GJ
O promotes jazz music in Gothenburg\, always plays great music with infec
tious enthusiasm\, encourages young talent and presents interesting guest
 s and themes!\n\nJ…
