Kallsup + Nära Döden

Monument proudly presents: Kallsup + Nära Döden 12/12 Kallsup are back with a new record and a long-awaited Swedish tour to mark its release.

On 2 October, Kallsup release their second album, Alldeles för nära, before heading out on a club tour with several stops around the country.

Since releasing their debut album En sista räddning in spring 2025, the ethereal Örebro band have toured extensively. With shows both in Sweden and abroad, guitar-shredding Kallsup have earned their reputation as one of the country's most exciting live bands. Don't be fooled by a sound that sometimes recalls the more introverted bands of the 90s – Kallsup's stage presence is almost the opposite. With Eline Gustafsson at the helm, Kallsup are all-out, pushing voices and strings to breaking point.

On their new album Alldeles för nära, Kallsup become increasingly assured and distinctive. The songs avoid detours and digressions, instead getting straight to the point with infectious melodies that invite the listener into the band's world. Lyrically, the band explore themes of obsession, boundaries and friendship. With the new songs in their live repertoire, Kallsup's desperation will continue to strike and captivate those who see them live this autumn.

Nära döden combine naivety and darkness, foolishness and reflection, accompanied by sharp, ominous guitars, infectious aaah backing vocals and a grinding bass.

As if the Masshysteri of 2008, the Håkan Hellström of 2000 and the Solen of 2014 were meeting in a subcultural celebrity death match filled with blood, spit, laughter and tears.
