Tresticklans Nationalpark, som bildades 1996, breder ut sig över närmare 3 000 hektar vid gränsen till Norge. Parken är det mest omfattande skogsområdet i södra Sverige som varken har vägar eller bebyggelse. Det finns dock lämningar som berättar om liv på platsen, däribland stenåldersfynd och delar av en skvaltkvarn.
Parken utmärks av höga bergsryggar, myrmarker, gles tallskog och långsträckta sjöar. Här finns flertalet vandringsleder som följer det säregna landskapet.
